Nate Williams

Communications Director

  • Nate Williams is Communications Director at the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. He is responsible for overseeing the Foundation’s internal and external communications, including communications strategy development, website operations, communications vendor management, print publications, branding, and social media engagement. His professional interests include science communications, writing, web technology, web design and development, social media, user-experience design, and information management.

    Though he assumed his current position in 2014, Mr. Williams joined the Sloan Foundation in 2005, working as a program assistant in the Workplace, Work Force and Working Families Program from 2005-2007, as Web Content Specialist developing content for the Foundation’s website from 2008-2010, and as Communications Associate from 2010-2014. Prior to joining the Foundation, Mr. Williams worked for three years at Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America.

    Mr. Williams holds a B.A. in philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received three years of graduate training in philosophy at Princeton University. He received a professional certification in web design and development from NYU in 2010.
