Chris Richardson

Communications Assistant

  • Chris is the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation’s Communications Assistant and is responsible for developing our communications strategy, branding, and digital presence. Ultimately, Chris supports internal and external communications activities that strengthen the work of our grantees and further the Foundation’s mission. 

    Prior to joining the Foundation, Chris held communications posts with a body representing a group of medical doctors in London, England, and at an interdisciplinary graduate university in Okinawa, Japan. He has also spent time working in pharmaceuticals, technology startups, and management consulting, and has a wealth of experience with nonprofits in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

    Chris holds a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Science Communication from Imperial College London, where he also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the university’s quarterly science digest. He strongly believes in the ability of science to make the world a better place.
