Lauren von Eckartsberg is Grants Administrator for the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation working with the Grants Management team to administer the Sloan Research Fellowships program.
Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked as an International Consultant in the field of women, peace and security, and youth and peacebuilding, with regional expertise in Latin America and the Caribbean working with women and indigenous peoples. As a former Localization and Peacebuilding Policy Specialist with the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders’ (GNWP), Ms. von Eckartsberg coordinated and facilitated workshops on bringing international and national level policies on women, peace and security down to local levels of implementation in Uganda, Colombia, and Sierra Leone with the Network’s members on the ground.
Lauren holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University in Latin American and Caribbean Studies with a focus on women and indigenous populations in the Andes region. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University with majors in Psychology and Spanish and a minor in Photography.
