Open Calls
The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation accepts and evaluates requests for funding throughout the year through our grant application process. In addition, the Foundation occasionally issues calls for grant proposals or letters of inquiry on specific topics or issues to be submitted by a pre-announced submission date.

Summary: Grants of up to $750,000 over two years will be awarded to U.S. higher education institutions to launch university Open Source Program Offices (OSPOs).

Call for: Letters of Inquiry
Deadline: March 16, 2023
Summary: Grants of $75,000-$250,000 to be awarded for original research in the history of science, technology, economics and social science, focusing on areas of broad programmatic interested to the Alfred. P. Sloan Foundation.
