Devora Najjar

Program Associate

  • Devora Najjar joined the Sloan Foundation in July 2025 as a Program Associate supporting Josh Greenberg in the Technology program.

    Prior to joining the Foundation, Najjar developed nanobody therapeutics and molecular diagnostics after earning her Ph.D. from the MIT Media Lab, where her dissertation focused on CRISPR-based biosensors systems. Additionally, she performed fieldwork as a National Geographic Early Career grantee in Boston, MA and Aotearoa, New Zealand, studying how novel sensor technologies pair with local knowledge for improved community-based environment monitoring.

    She holds a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering from The Cooper Union and an S.M. and Ph.D. in Media Arts and Sciences from MIT.
